What I wish.....is that Lightwave in the future would have some way to
exercise more control over points in the bone mode. That is to say
have a way to more easily limit witch points are influnenced by a bone
in an object. Perhaps this can be acheived as an extention of the
surfaces feature, where bone influence surfaces instead of whole
objects. I don't know maybe that is imposable. I have seen a few
things in the latest Imagine software that seems to have this ability
and I have seen some stuff in animations that were done on higher end
systems that seem to be working along the same idea. I personally like
using bones for lots of stuff. Dancing boxes and lampstands tends to
somehow appeal to peoples better emotions. I however had enormous
headaches trying to get bones to work easily with human figures. I find
simply cutting the figure up into various objects and linking them in
hierachies is much easyier than working with bones. The bigest
drawback to this is visable dividing lines at the junctions of the
individual objects. I find morphing to be even harder to work with
than bones in this area. So howabout it ....Allen?...Stuart? Maybe
some day?
